star 6.8Big Cook, Little Cook is a t.v. series for nursery school-aged children broadcast on BBC television channels. The programme is set in the kitchen of a café, with two main characters, Big Cook Ben and Little Cook Small. Ben is a full-sized adult, but Small is only a few inches tall and flies on a wooden spoon. The format of a programme generally includes a visit to the café by a nursery rhyme or fairy tale character. Little Cook tells a story about the visitor in which he’s the real hero, and then they decide to cook the visitor a meal from Big Cook's recipe book. Little Cook will then fly away on his magic spoon to see where one of the ingredients is made. Activities within the kitchen, such as washing up and tidying up, are accompanied by catchy song and dance routines. Both cooks act in a way to encourage children to take an interest in cooking. star 4Boo! is a children's television series shown in the United Kingdom on the CBeebies channel, and originally on BBC Two. It features several cartoon characters who play a game similar to hide and seek in a variety of settings. The commentary is performed by an adult narrator and a chorus of children. The series was produced by the independent production company Tell-Tale Productions, which was also responsible for Tweenies. From 2011 to 2012, reruns of the show were broadcast in the USA on Qubo. The series ran for a total of 104 episodes and one Christmas special and was nominated for a BAFTA in 2002-03. At the end of the programme a song is sung, usually about matching characters or objects to their shapes or colours. The visual style of Boo! is very distinctive, using 3D CGI with rounded shapes and cel-shading. The music and songs are generally in an early-70s funk/R&B idiom.Magic Mountain

star 5Blue's Room is a children's puppet show television series which is aimed at preschoolers, aged 2–6, and it is a spin-off series of the popular Blue's Clues series. It originally started as a short segment that came near the end of the original Blue's Clues show, originally cast off as Blue's personal imaginary world once Joe took over the show after his brother Steve "went to college". Later on, when Joe also decided to leave the show Blue's Clues, the short segment became a show itself, with Joe appearing in some episodes. What distinguishes Blue's Room from Blue's Clues is that Blue herself transforms from an animated blue puppy into an English-speaking puppet that directly interacts with the child with open ended questions or asks if a presented idea or solution is correct. The Season One episode "Meet Blue's Baby Brother" is a turnaround episode for this series, bringing most of the concepts of Blue's Clues into the new series and getting additional interest in the series.A table les enfants!
