A wealthy family’s twelve daughters are twice abandoned by their father and end up in the care of a lonely giant queen, Suntamala. After ten years, the sisters flee upon discovering her true nature, setting off a chain of betrayal, revenge, and hardship.
Two babies, Aleksa and Luka are switched at the hospital accidentally. Thirty years later, Aleksa is a rich and successful businessman while Luka is poor and barely gets by. When the nurse who switched the two of them tells them what she had done, their lives change completely.
Destinos: An Introduction to Spanish, also known simply as Destinos, is an educational television program created by Bill VanPatten, who was, at the time, Professor of Spanish and Second Language Acquisition at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. The show, designed to introduce viewers to the basics of Spanish, had two seasons, beginning in 1992. Its 52 episodes are often used for educational purposes in schools and are still broadcast regularly on many PBS stations, as well as many local channels.
