Produced by E&G Productions, the series aired on TV Tokyo in 26 episodes. It was later dubbed in English and heavily truncated to 75 minutes for an OVA, released in 1996. The year is 2060; Dorothy Gale and her mutant dog Talk-Talk have just been swept away from their home planet of New Kansas to a strange galaxy called Oz, where she befriends an unlikely band of heroes. Only fourteen episodes were produced, three of which were produced on VHS for the United States. It aired in the U.S. as part of the Marvel Action Universe. The series focuses on the battle between the good Valorians and evil Rulons on prehistoric Earth. The Valorians were a super human race, whilst the Rulons were a mixture of humanoid creatures — both of which came from the future, however ended up transported back in time to the age of Dinosaurs.
