Prehistoric Planet

star 8Prehistoric Planet is a re-version of the BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs and Walking with Beasts series, done by Discovery Channel and NBC for the Discovery Kids network. Though the producers kept nearly all of the original animation, David Bock and Peter Sherman wrote new text for a younger target audience, narrated by Ben Stiller and Christian Slater, and interspersed the scenes with occasional quizzes to act as bumpers around the commercial breaks. New music was incorporated as well. Most marketing and advertising for the series focused on the dinosaur episodes. In addition, the final episode, the Prehistoric Planet Top 10 focused solely on the creatures from Walking With Dinosaurs. Some small content edits were done to allow original programs to fit in the 23 minutes of non-commercial time that a normal half-hour program has on network TV. At present, only Season 1 has been released on home video and DVD.Mystery Hunters

star 9.1Mystery Hunters is a Canadian Documentary television series aimed at a young audience. It aired on YTV in Canada and on Discovery Kids in the United States. It was also dubbed in Japanese and aired in Japan on NHK. Teenage hosts Araya and Christina investigate real-life reports of mysteries such as spirits, legendary creatures, monsters, dinosaurs and UFOs. They use scientific rigour to try to find plausible explanations for the sightings and eye-witness accounts that trigger their investigations. In another section of the show, Doubting Dave, a scientist played by David Acer, attempts to explain mysterious personal experiences that have been emailed in by viewers, in a feature called "V-Files", as well as a way to create your own versions of the mysteries in the show in his "Mystery Lab" segment. star 10Bindi the Jungle Girl is an Australian children's television nature documentary series, presented by Bindi Irwin, the daughter of Steve and Terri Irwin. The series is produced and shot in Queensland by The Best Picture Show Company for Discovery Kids and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The first series was scheduled for 26 episodes, and ran from 9 June 2007 until 31 May 2008 on American networks Discovery Kids and simulcast on Animal Planet and on ABC1 in Australia from 18 July 2007. Also appearing on the show are Bindi's mother Terri, her younger brother Robert, and Steve Irwin's "best mate" and director of Australia Zoo, Wes Mannion. Bindi performs songs and dances with a group called the Crocmen, and answers questions from viewers in the "Bindi's Blog" segment. It was aired on Playtime Krumeater. Steve Irwin appeared in several episodes filmed prior to his death in 2006. Hip Hop Harry is a children's show that aired on Discovery Kids and TLC as part of the Ready Set Learn block, as well as most Retro Television Network affiliates, as an E/I-compliant program. Similar to Barney the Dinosaur and Sesame Street, Hip Hop Harry is a live action program designed for preschool children in the 3-12 year old age group. star 7.7Henry's Amazing Animals is an educational children's nature program produced by Dorling Kindersley and originally broadcast on the Disney Channel in 1996. Its following program was Audubon's Animal Adventures. It currently plays in syndication on Treehouse TV in Canada. It is also available on VHS. The show centres around the interactions of Henry the Lizard, a green CGI gecko with purple spots, and an unseen narrator. Each episode centers on a theme relating to the episode's subject matter, such as Henry traveling through prehistory in a time machine in an episode about Prehistoric Animals. Henry is usually faced with some kind of predicament or work, always relating to the episode's theme, which he resolves by the end of the episode, often learning a lesson of some sort in the process.Gross!

Gross! was a cartoon television show that aired on children's channel Discovery Kids. It was presented by Jason Bradbury. Gross used to be shown on discovery kids every week. Gross! was cancelled following the cancellation of Discovery Kids UK. Jason now goes on to present The Gadget Show with co-presenters Jon Bentley, Suzi Perry, Ortis Deeley and Pollyanna Woodward. star 10Operation Junkyard debuted in fall 2002 as part of the Discovery Kids Saturday morning programming schedule. Essentially a spin-off of TLC's popular series Junkyard Wars, OP/JY featured teams of teens that were challenged to build gadgets out of junk in six hours. Teams featured on the show include the Rummaging Robots and Jurassic Junkers, and the teams were tasked to build gadgets like water bailing machines, mud scooters, and remote control battleships. At the beginning of each show the challenge of the day was revealed and teams attempted to collect "bodgits" by completing small challenges. "Bodgits" were helpful advantages that teams could earn, including time with the on-set engineer or special parts for use in their build.Adventure Camp

Adventure Camp is a television program being shown on the Discovery Kids Channel and to be shown on its replacement, The Hub. The show takes place at Sea World Orlando and Busch Gardens Tampa. It is based upon the real life camps of Sea World/Busch Gardens Adventure Camps. The show is not staged, and the campers do take part in real life Adventure camp activities such as diving in the Sea World shark tank and cleaning up after animals on the veldt at Busch Gardens Africa. The summary is four kids from the United States and four kids from the United Kingdom go to Florida. They have many adventures such as feeding Orcas at Seaworld and cleaning up after animals at Busch Gardens. Adventure Camp aired in March 2008. It is being shown on Discovery Kids. Many of the adventures are exciting, thrilling, and sometimes gross, but at the end someone who showed a quality such as teamwork would receive a necklace and the honor to get to go on an extra special adventure the following day. Sail Away is a 2001 short-lived children's reality TV series which follows ten teenagers sailing aboard the Simpatico off the Bahamas with assistance from their leader Nicolas Popov and Dragan Popov. There are no plans for a second series. The series was produced by Discovery Kids. The first series was filmed in 2000, aired in early 2001 and consisted of 13 episodes.
