El Talismán is a telenovela co-produced by Venevision and Univision Studios, starring Blanca Soto and Rafael Novoa as the main protagonists, and Aarón Díaz, Lola Ponce, and Marcela Mar as the main antagonists. Univision had announced that El Talismán would air on the network as part of the 2011–2012 programming schedule, and was confirmed to air in 2012 on November 11, 2011. Though 120 episodes were planned to be produced, the episode count was reduced to a total of 98 due to low ratings.
From January 30 to February 3, 2012, Univision aired El Talismán at 8pm central, replacing one hour of Una familia con suerte, and later at 9pm central from February 6 to March 9, 2012. Though El Talismán was seen by 5 million viewers during its premiere day, viewership declined overtime during its prime time airings. As a result, Univision aired El Talismán at 1pm central from March 12 to June 15, 2012.

Nuestra Belleza Latina is a beauty pageant and reality show produced by Univision. 12 young women selected by the judges compete for the title of Nuestra Belleza Latina, as well as winning cash prizes and becoming a personality for Univision. It's hosted by talk-show host and actress Giselle Blondet, who does the audition process and is also the mentor of the winner for the year of reign. The first season premiered on March 27, 2007 and was one of Univision's highest rated shows. The opening theme for casting till the finalist has been performed by past winners Alejandra Espinoza, Melissa Marty, Greydis Gil, Ana Patricia Gonzalez, Nastassja Bolivar and Vanessa De Roide. When the finalists are chosen, the opening theme changes showing each contestant, excluding eliminated contestants. It is distributed by Univision including Puerto Rico, it's also distributed in Mexico by Televisa.

It was written by Juan Manuel Torres, Ana María Palos, Gerardo de la Torre and Grillo MacGregor. Studio producer was Fernando Morett and documentaries were done by Roberto Lomelí. It is a adaptation of the book La patrona de Pablo Escobar de José Guarnizo based of history from Griselda Blanco.
