Spring Break Challenges

Spring Break Challenge is a short-lived MTV reality game show spun off from MTV's long-running reality game show, The Challenge. The spin-off series was somewhat cast-contestant dependent on The Challenge in that the Spring Break Challenge used various contestants from the precursor program.. Spring Break Challenge is also cast-contestant dependent on MTV's two flagship reality programs, The Real World and the now cancelled series Road Rules. As with The Challenge, T.J. Lavin was host of Spring Break Challenge. The program aired from March 22, 2010, to March 26, 2010, during spring break in Acapulco, Mexico. This spin-off featured teams of college-aged friends in various challenges of old and new based on previous seasons of The Challenge. The Spring Break Challenge cast was made up of original contestants, as well as alumni from previous seasons of The Real World, Road Rules, and the Fresh Meat challenge serving as coaches.Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County

It differs from the usual reality show in that it is structured as a traditional narrative than a straightforward observant documentary style. The series premiered on August 13, 2007 and concluded on January 2, 2008. The series was created as a successor to Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County to avoid cancelling the series for lack of a fourth season plotline. star 10The Assistant is a reality television show that parodied other reality shows such as The Apprentice, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Survivor, American Idol, and Fear Factor. Its eight episodes originally aired on MTV. It featured comedian Andy Dick's search for a new personal assistant. The beginning of the first episode parodied The Bachelor, with the twelve contestants arriving in limousines, and Dick waiting outside to greet them with his maid and butler. A "rose ceremony" immediately followed, and one contestant was eliminated. Dick assigned the Hollywood hopefuls to some absurd tasks such as pretending to be him in an interview with a Japanese television station, bringing him coffee by traversing on a beam over a swimming pool, breaking up with his girlfriend, and attempting to get him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Contestants were usually "snipped" in elimination ceremonies parodying those on other reality series. It was named after the room Harry Houdini died in at Detroit's Grace Hospital in 1926. The show also used some of his famous acts. star 7Austin Stories is MTV's first ever prime time situation comedy, which debuted September 10, 1997, and aired Wednesday nights at 10:30 pm. The show aired twelve episodes filmed on location in Austin, Texas. An MTV search brought executives James Jones and Lisa Berger to Austin in 1994. Jones had previous produced The Ben Stiller Show and Berger was vice-president and director of development at the network. MTV scouts were drawn to the city's emerging comedy scene and noticed Laura House, Howard Kremer and Brad "Chip" Pope. They were all discovered at a showcase for MTV at the Laff Stop for professional comics. All three had to pull strings to get on the showcase as none of them had been paid for their comedy. House was a junior high journalism teacher when she was cast on the show. Both she and Brad "Chip" Pope were University of Texas graduates. Originally, the show was only guaranteed 13 episodes on the channel. In March 1997, MTV flew House, Kremer and Pope to Los Angeles to write two scripts in three days. AustTailDaters

At the end of its first season, MTV's then-corporate sibling Paramount Television retooled the program, extended it to sixty minutes, and used it as a replacement for the cancelled Arsenio Hall Show for the 1994-95 television season.
