A historical fiction drama and thriller set in the turbulent period of the late 1930s in the Balkans as a place where high politics, local interests, capital and crime all merge together.
Survivor Croatia is a Croatian reality game show based on the international Survivor format. Following the premise of other versions of the Survivor format, the show features a group of contestants, referred to as "castaways" as they are marooned in an isolated location. The castaways must provide food, water, fire, and shelter for themselves. The contestants compete in various challenges for rewards and immunity from elimination. The contestants are progressively eliminated from the game as they are voted off the island by their fellow castaways. The final castaway remaining is awarded the title of "Sole Survivor" and the grand prize.
The series first aired on HRT 2 in 2005. It was cancelled the same year. In 2012, the fourth season of Survivor Srbija was broadcast on the Croatian channel RTL Televizija and serves as the second Croatian season of Survivor. The third, fourth and fifth season, a pan-regional seasons, aired in 2022, 2023 and 2024 respectively on Nova TV in Croatia.
The series covers the period from the entry of King Alexander into liberated Belgrade after the end of the First World War until the assassination in Marseilles.

The plot of the series follows the harmonious history of Serbia at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries (from the accession to the throne of King Milan Obrenovic in 1882 to his abdication in 1889), from the point of view of Tanasije K. Abadzic, the king's aide, who found himself in that position through no fault of his own. Tanasije K. Abadzic is a junior military official at Obrenovic's court and the great-grandson of Crni Gruja.
