VTM 2 viewers get to know the most colorful and passionate market traders in Flanders. There are still 3600 of them. The early birds who load their market carts in the middle of the night with fresh vegetables and fruit, meat and fish, clothing and cleaning products to go to the market before dawn. They are hard workers, enthusiastic joke tellers, smooth salesmen and they share an indomitable passion for their job. The weekly market is their office, their biotope, their life. Because they were born as market traders, and they will always remain so in heart and soul.
The Detention House takes an exclusive look behind the scenes of the first detention house in Belgium. There, short-term prisoners serve their prison sentences in society, instead of within prison walls. No small cells, guards and prisoners, but psychologists, detention supervisors and residents who are trying to rebuild their lives. The residents look for a new home and work, and can even leave the detention center for a valid reason and under strict conditions. That 'freedom' comes with great responsibility, because anyone who breaks one rule is irrevocably sent back to a classic prison. The staff is doing everything they can to make this project a success and to get their lives back on track together with the residents. That doesn't happen without a fight, but with a laugh and a tear.
Does love have a better chance if you are given plenty of time to really get to know each other? The new daily dating program 'Blijven Slapen' puts it to the test and allows Flemish singles to live with their potential partner for at least 24 hours: from breakfast to bed.
They allow everyone to see what is perhaps the most important moment of their lives: finding true love. Love splashes off the screen during Valentine's weekend, because the starting episode of 'Stay Sleeping' is on Valentine's Day.
