Two middle-age crazy English widows become best friends via letters, over many misadventure-filled years. Having met under a table at a wedding, when both were drunk with merriment, misunderstanding comes naturally to them. The ladies and their kin act out the events in the letters: in their homes, prison or wherever else they land, revealing the hilarious, venomous, or empathetic truth, between their ever-increasing lines. Each author will be given their own week, featuring some of their finest TV adaptations every night, plus an exclusive documentary examining their lives and work, talking to the stars who have brought their characters to life on screen, fellow writers, fans and the authors themselves.
The Store is a strand of shopping programming on ITV and ITV4. Dubbed the "chatmercial", The Store combines the format of a chatshow with home TV shopping in front of a studio audience.
Sarah Heaney presents the strand, with help from experts including celebrity make-up artist Jerome Alexander, fashion expert Wendy Elsmore and celebrity chef Tony Tobin.
The strand is shown usually between the hours of 12:30 am – 02:30 am on Sunday nights on ITV, however times are flexible around schedule but the show is almost always on air for two hours. As well as the weekend broadcasts, the stand also airs Mondays to Saturdays on ITV Channel Television, in place of Jackpot247, which cannot broadcast on the Islands for legal reasons. The overnight strand is not broadcast on STV or UTV.
The Store airs on ITV4 every night from around 02:00.
