The program depicts cases that are handled and investigated by the Cape of Good Hope SPCA in and around Cape Town, South Africa. They handle any animal from pit bulls to Egyptian geese. The Cape of Good Hope SPCA is a community-run NGO and is a member of the NSPCA. The Cape of Good Hope SPCA became part of the Animal Cops show after Animal Planet commissioned a South African version of the series, based on Animal Precinct, Animal Cops Houston, Animal Cops Detroit, and more. The Inspectorate is based on a National Training program in South Africa provided and certified by the NSPCA and each inspector is authorized by the District Magistrates to investigate and intervene in animal cruelty complaints as well as educate on proactive initiatives. The series was produced by NHNZ with creator Judith Curran also acting as the series producer. Animal Planet's Martha Ripp is the executive producer of the series, and Lone Drøscher Nielsen of the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, the founder and manager of the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Reintroduction Project, regularly appears with the orangutans in the show. The series premiered on Animal Planet on November 2, 2007, with new episodes airing Friday nights. A second season began airing in November 2008. The show focuses on a group of orphaned orangutans at the Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rescue and Rehabilitation Center that are raised to go against their normally independent nature and instead cooperate and live together in a society so they can be left to live wild on their protected island.Breed All About It

Breed All About It was a show that headlined one breed of dog, or a group of dogs, and presented facts and advice about that breed. It was aired Animal Planet. The series was hosted by Cam "Buzz" Brainard. Earlier episodes of the series were significantly different from later episodes because they were produced for non-commercial broadcast on networks like the BBC networks and PBS. After the show moved to Animal Planet permanently, episodes became more structured, with specific segments dealing with different aspects of the dog breed. Sectioned included a general introduction, the breed's history, specific health concerns for that breed, an offbeat or humorous segment featuring the unique traits of the breed, and a summary guide for what prospective owners should know about the breed. Occasionally segments within episodes would feature one or more celebrities who own the featured dog breed, including their testimonials about life with their dogs. Produced by Lion Television, the program is set in Miami, Florida and the surrounding Miami-Dade County, an area of more than 2,000 square miles. It depicts the everyday duties of Miami-Dade Police Department Animal Services Unit, focusing on the work of twenty ACOs, five civilian animal cruelty investigators, six Miami-Dade Police Department administrators, and a pitbull investigator. The show also highlights the work of various private companies that remove wild animals from places they shouldn't be, including escaped exotic pets which can pose a hazard to native wildlife and/or local residents if left unchecked. The most frequently featured of these private contractors is Todd Hardwick of Pesky Critters Wildlife Control. The show was created by Yehuda Goldman and co-created by Todd Thompson, and senior broadcast executive Todd Mason, who also served as the shows Executive Producer. The program premiered on June 3, 2002 and featured Sonya Fitzpatrick as a psychic who claimed she could communicate with various animals including audience members' departed pets. Subject animals included the normal cats and dogs as well as horses, various birds and farm animals. The program was scheduled on Monday evenings beginning at 8:00PM Eastern/7:00PM Central. The series premièred in the United Kingdom on 20 November 2007 on the UK Animal Planet network with Martin Shaw narrating. On 8 February 2008 it aired in the United States under the name Lemur Kingdom, with fourteen episodes airing until 9 May 2008. It was removed from the air with the return of the channel's top series, Meerkat Manor. It aired in Canada on TVO from 13 February 2008 until 16 April 2008 and on Knowledge from 2 April 2008 until 31 May 2008, using its original name of Lemur Street. Each episode is thirty minutes long.
