The pair met in the Big Brother house in August 2011 and became unlikely friends. For the two one-hour episodes of When Paddy Met Sally, Bercow moved in to Doherty's chalet on his travellers' site in north Wales, living by his rules in episode one and hers in episode two.

Royal Navy Submarine Mission is a documentary series which follows the crew on the hunter-killer class submarine HMS Turbulent. Captain Ryan Ramsey and his 130 crew are getting ready for a mission that will see them stay underwater for 100 days as they patrol the pirate-infested waters surrounding the Horn of Africa. The uprising in Libyan though means the submarine is forced to plot a new course towards Tripoli, where the crew will have to protect civilians caught up in the conflict.

ASBO Teen to Beauty Queen was a reality television about nine teenagers from Manchester, who were trained by Michelle Fryatt, a former American beauty queen, to compete in the Miss Teen International 2006 beauty pageant in Chicago. Each week, the participants faced a series of tasks designed to prepare them to compete in the pageant and at the end of each episode, girls were eliminated from the series. In the last programme, the final three girls flew to Chicago and one was selected as the first Miss Teen England International to enter the pageant. The series was produced for Five by North One Television and has been syndicated on the Swedish Channel TV400 as "Från värsting till skönhetsdrottning".
