The victims describe the signs of the criminal in the same way: a charming, intelligent middle-aged man, easily insinuates himself into trust. After the suicide attempt of the deputy chairman of the district executive committee, a professional detective, police captain Shmakov and senior police lieutenant Polina Novgorodtseva, takes over the investigation of a high-profile case.
