A young guy escapes from Moscow from a tough mom and problems with an unloved institute to his grandmother for the summer in Rostov-on-Don, a southern, noisy, open city. He meets a girl journalist of a local newspaper and gets a job as a photographer for this newspaper. Photography is his hobby and passion, but here for the first time his photos become interesting to other people.
